New nesting boxes just aren't catching on?

Since we got our chickens I always wanted a fancy nesting box set, but used milk crates in the mean time. Milk crates worked great but I wanted a propper nesting box. So I finally got one, a really nice ten holer. Two weeks and still only one hen will go near it. what can I do? I took all, but one crate out. some of my young hens that have not started laying yet seem to like it??

Try putting golf balls or wooden eggs in the new nesting boxes. I would take out all the old ones.

Have you tried putting golf/pingpong balls or fake eggs in the nests?

Definitely put some "starter" eggs in there...I use the soapstone ones but you can get the plastic easter eggs and fill em with sand....golf balls, anything remotely resembling an egg shape...they'll come around...
