New, new and new

Welcome to BYC, so glad you joined the flock. Loads of dog people on here as well, what kind of puppies do you have. The way to a chicks/chickens heart is through their stomach, if you daughter starts offering them treats now & then ( meal worms etc.) they will LOVE HER:love
Thank you. 🥰. We have 2 13yr schnoodles which are sisters (Bailey and Roxy), and the last 2 of a line of dogs kept in the family. As well we have a 3yr boxer/American bulldog named Maximus and will be picking up our new unnamed girl within a few weeks, she is a Labradoodle.

Kalista, our daughter; has been helping to feed, water, fill with treats and secure and let loose; all our feathered girls since they were hatched. She bosses us around like a site foreman with thechores that need done for them, and fights us tooth and nail to feed them and deliver other treats and goodies. So far we give strawberries, cherries, apple, lettuce, spinach, watermelon, cucumber, live and dried mealworms, crickets and earthworms as treats.

They all have had lots of cuddle time, leisure sits with us in the coop or the yard, and a few have had extra time due to concerns or health issues. Jet did get an impacted crop, which was alleviated but not fully cleared, which turned into sour crop later.. but made an exceptional recovery from near death, and came to appear healthier than her brethren at the time.
We spent as much time as possible with them for the first 2 months from hatch, and have made sure to spend time with them 3-4 or more times per day since; but majority just seek us out for food.. and move on.. c’est la vie, least they at least like us and no fear or aggression.. but Penguin adores to follow us around on any given task, help with the job and inspect the work at every stage.. and cuddle or lounge on the patio with us.

Hawk, Wren and Sparrow have been with us only 4 days now, but already enjoying time with us as much as Penguin already has.. so as long as we keep the treats and love coming, pretty sure Kali will love these girls the rest of her life, and go on many adventures with them for years to come.
