I have a wonderful area to build a chicken run however there are a few citrus trees. Will this be horrible for the chickens as they can't eat citrus? the area is most always always free of dropped citrus but a concern on the land before we build there. Please offer any advice. Thank you.. LP

Hi and welcome to BYC. I’m just sharing my experience, but I had 3 avocado trees and my flock free-ranged and never had any issues (even though avocados are considered harmful to chickens). Here are some helpful links:

My birds free range, and the lemon tree and orange trees never caused problems with the flock.
