Hi,
I am new to raising chickens and as of today have none because I need help in doing things the right way. My grandmother used to have chickens and they would come to her in the morning for feed and she would call them by name and what a precious experience for me to be privileged enough to share that with her.
So, ,here goes. My name is Kim and I have two children 9 and 7. We have about an acre surrounded by woods and one neighbor right across the street who has chickens and only 1 guinea hen... the coyote got the other ones
.
Our ground stays wet most of the time until the really hot summer comes out. We also live on a hill.
I do some writing here and there... mostly small articles and short stories that usually stay in my library because I doubt they would do anyone any good except me lol.
I would love to have some chickens but don't have the ins and outs of everything. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!!
Thank you and I am very pleased to be on a list with others who have the same venues as I do.
