i hope everyone is doing well!
I’m new to being a member, but I’ve had a small backyard flock of hens since 2017. 13 has been my max, but currently at 8 hens & 2 chicks in my CITY backyard. In fact, when I started, I was within city limits, which had no regulations, but I had a pesky HOA (and they never caught me). I’ve since moved, but I’m still in a city, a bigger one, in fact, but no hoa.
Anyway, I’ve always used this community since the beginning; it’s been an incredible tool for my education & the health of my girls.
i came back to the site today iso help for the particular breed of chick I just got, and decided that it was time I joined and contributed, instead of just being a guest. I feel like I’ve been thru enuf trial and many, many errors, to contribute, I guess lol.
anyway, glad to be a member and I thank all of you for helping me throughout my beginner years, even tho u didn’t realize it, u all helped more than u cld ever imagine
Btw, I’ll introduce u to my flock of ladies:
Scarlet, Wyandot, brown egg
Coraline, buff orp, brown egg
Juliet, Easter egger, green egg
Genevieve, light Sussex, brown egg
Guinevere, light sussex, brown egg
Jolene, Australian orp, brown egg
Wanda, French Maran mix, olive egger
Zelda, French Maran, dark brown egg
AND
we just got 2 whiting true blues, 5 weeks old, fingers crossed they are both female.
