Welcome to BYC - sorry for the circumstances, and good luck with your duck.
Hey, is there any info you could give me with looking after her after an attack?
***Note: I have attached pics, but please be warned, they are slightly graphic... ***
her tail feathers are gone and she does have a chunk missing from her vent.
I am currently using antiseptic cream and weak betadine on her for the past couple of days.
Today is the first day I have allowed her to go outside and she is so happy about it. I have another Muscovy duck that is looking after her and won’t leave her side...lol
Would you know why her poop would be going like this?? Would an infection be the cause or something else?
Welcome to BYC!
I'm so sorry, but unfortunately I don't know much about injuries on ducks. I also don't know about why her poop would be like that.
Make sure you keep the wound clean.
@casportpony and @Miss Lydia should be able to help you figure all that out. They are very knowledgeable.
I pray your duck gets better and has a full recovery.
So very sorry for the attack on your duck hope she will have a good recovery.
