Hello Everyone.

I have just joined this forum and am delighted to notice that it is such a vibrant avenue addressing an almost unlimited array of queries and thoughts. Additionally, it also provides the satisfaction of sharing experiences.

I live in Pakistan and am 30 years old. I have had chickens off and on for the last 19 years. But I had always focused on the local breeds (mainly the Aseel breed) for others weren't easily available. However, over the few years, I have noticed that the local pet stores are increasingly carrying fancy breeds from different countries. However, still there are only around 5 - 6 breeds that are available. But that too in limit colour variations. For example from the Cochin breed, only the buff, black and blue (lavender) are available and from the silkie, only white and black are available. Other ornamental breeds like Polish are rare (only seen white-crested and silver here) while long-tailed breeds like Phoenix and Yokohama are non-existent.

I am definitely interested in increasing my collection of breeds. Would anyone be able to guide me how to import hatching eggs from the USA / any other country? Do postal authorities / Fedex allow this and that too in reasonable time (due to perishability of eggs)? I would be grateful if anyone could guide me on this issue. My email address is [email protected]

We would love to see pics of your birds. As for shipping international, I have no idea, hopefully someone else will know.

I have no idea about international shipping....However if someone sees your post who does know, I'm sure they will answer!

Thank you. Will be waiting for guidance from anyone pertaining to international shipping of hatching eggs.
