My ducks and I are happy to be here. So I have 3 Indian runners Lynn Lynn Lucky I have had these two for 5 years April 8 TH 2010 and Jolly is there son born sept 1 of last year we had 6 baby's I keep two. Jolly and MOLLY. Sorry to say the . But molly died Monday and don't know why or if jolly got to ruff with her and killed molly. They have a little time swimming pool with a slide lucky and Lynn Lynn are the only ones that mate right now looking for another female for Jolly going to get a bigger duck so he can't hurt her

I'm sorry to hear about Molly. Its always hard to loose a bird.

Welcome to BYC. You don't mention whether or not they have a pond, but two drakes mating a hen in the water can inadvertently drown her.

You may want to post on the "Duck thread," to know what kind of replacement to get for Molly- an older hen or ??? Sourland is totally right about two(or more) drakes ganging up on a female. Ducks like to breed on water and the female can be drowned by the weight of drakes.
