New owner from California

Hi all.. I am a new owner of 5 chicks and 2 ducks, approximately 6 weeks old. My husband has previous experience with chickens growing up but I have never raised chickens and ducks. I am very glad to have found this site since I will be the main one taking care of them

We also have 1 cat and 1 Chocolate Labrador dog.
Today while the chicks were out for a bit, one of them started limping and not putting down her right foot. She seemed ok at first, still eating and drinking, but now she seems to be laying down and not interested in walking. Maybe its sprained or something?.. do chicks heal well or do I need to be concerned?? I feel bad for the little thing

i personally don't really know what might cause sudden lameness in chicks, but you should head over to the emergencies/diseases/injuries section of this forum and re-post your question. more people who know about injuries will see it there
