New owners of Peafowl

We have 3 peafowl of about a year old. How to tell sex? type?

I think the one on the left (in both photos) is a boy, he has a few copper flight feathers

They look like India Blues to me but the experts here may say otherwise.

Yes,you have 3 IB hens,,,,nice looking at that!! Now you need a nice 2 year old male for next years breeding season(can be 1 year old now,but has to be 2 yrs to breed)

More color for boys?? Mine don't have near as much color. How to go about getting a Peacock?

IB males have barring on the feathers on top of the back,unless they are B/S,,hens feathers are all a dull dirty brown color with no barring on them,unless they too are IB BS/S and would be white in color with black flecks on their feathers. You can search craigslist for IB 1 Yr old males close to you,,or place an ad here.

How can you tell boys from girls?

Girls have flat brown-grey feathers on their wings. Boys have brown and black "stripes" or "bars" on their wings, called "barring".

Thought I'd update... I found 2 boys!!! 1 and IB and the other one Black Shoulder ?? I will add photos tomorrow after they get settled in with the girls.
