Hello, would like to introduce myself. Been lurking and gleaming some great information, thanks to all, and looking forward to fresh eggs. Live in Sonoma California, have four little peeps in my backyard, 2 Silver Laced Wyandotte's and 2 White Plymouth rocks, am having a hard time telling the Plymouth rocks apart, they look so similar. Here in the city we are not allowed to have Roosters so hope I don't have a male. The peeps are 2 months old now and doing great, have had them for 4 weeks now, purchased from Petaluma Rivertown Feed.
Built a coop out of recycled building material, the only purchase was the chicken wire and hardware cloth. Had originally called the structure "Three Doors Down" like the rock and roll group, because I used three doors upside down as walls and doors. However that name didn't stick very well, when a friend of mine looked at the entire structure, and said, it looks like "District-9" and that really stuck in so many ways.

from Illinois! And congrats on your new chicks!

My little ones are about two months old also, and it's quite obvious which ones are roosters. The combs are MUCH larger than the pullets'. If you can't see a difference in yours, then hopefully they're all hens.

I'm crossing my fingers, but so far they all look like hens. Having trouble figuring out which Plymouth White Rock is which however. Good luck with your chicks as well!
