New pen with stubble?

Hi all. Creating a nice enclosure for my new ducks (3 weeks old). The ground is rough with grass and weed stubble. Should I be concerned for their webbed feet? This is my maiden voyage with ducks. 6 silver appleyards and 3 not so sures . Thanks.

We have thick weed stubble here and I've wondered the same. I don't think we should worry unless the stubble is p. ointy and sharp. Sharp could pierce a web and worse.... cause an infection if it cuts the foot. Congrats on your new ducks and good luck.

The area where they live in will soon be just a patch of dirt, so don't worry about that part.
