New Phoenix Mom and HELP!!

I am a new and very thankful Mom to Phoenix chickens....now we were told that they were goldens, and got them at about 2 days old. We have 3 cockerels and 10 hens. They all look completely different, save for the boys, 2 of them look the same, and one has a much lighter creamier head. The girls are deep red or golden headed and some look even white headed!! I have researched and researched and researched, and for the life of me am having a hard time finding pics of the birds at this age, which are all about 3 months old at this time. To anyone who knows these birds, please help!! By the way, they are the most gentle and sweet babies ever. Am so glad we decided to take them!

Welcome to the BYC forum. It is good to hear that a breed as pretty as the Phoenix, has a sweet disposition. I'd love to see photos even though I won't be ant help determining how they fit the breed standard. You may want to post the pics in the breed section of the site, too.

Thank you! Pics are up!!. I can't wait for everyone to see them and tell me what they think or what they know to be true. I have read so much about them, and am finding that true blood in their breed can be hard to find, and it looks like that may be my case, but just the same, i am so glad that i have them. They perch on my Husband and i so much that we feel like maybe we should be made of wood

I don't really have experience determining breed or color, but I thought I would google golden phoenix out of curiosity and to see a photo of an adult. The roosters look like they develop a good deal of cream or white feathering.



You probably came across the website where I found the photo - they have pics of hens, too.

I'm not sure about that hen with the white head, but the others look pretty similar to the hens at that site. They are pretty birds.
