We got a couple of feeder pigs on Sunday! They are so stinkin' cute tho... I fear I will be too attached to let them go to freezer camp. Every time I look at them I think "oh you will be so delicious" over and over but....

We even named them, Wilbur and Olivia

Its easier to send them to freezer camp when they are older, dirtier, stinkier and feistier lol Now they are just adorable! Congrats on your new additions

Oh no!! You gave them real names. Bad idea. Pork chop and bacon would be better. How will you be able to eat Wilber or Olivia. They are cute.

I just slaughtered one of my larger pigs, it is very delicious. I am taking a bunch of meat over to VT Smoke & Cure for some bacon, ham and sausage. I have one available for the freezer now if you don't want to wait!

Unfortunately we don't have a big enough freezer for one now and two later

So where is VT Smoke & Cure? We use Green Mountain Smokehouse (I think its in Windsor). Good to know my options.

Man there is really no comparison to homegrown pork!!
