Ditto. I have had good success with permethrin spray. You have to use it repeatedly because it does not kill the eggs. I had an infestation in one of my coops. I sprayed all of the coops to prevent the mites from spreading.
New plastic coop has to stand in same place as old one - red mite advice, pretty please!
