Kaydar's eyes shot open and he shot foward, snarling down at the young dragon. His frills rattling louldy. "Never leave your charge, Youngling, never! She's too precious! Take it from experaince, never let your guard down. Never trust an Elf!" He looked to the Maid and his voice was soft. "Leastways a full blooded one."

((Goodnight!))

Sterling nodded. "Not again." He promised. Florence nodded a small smile on her face.

Sterling nodded. "Yes," he stated.

"I thought I was the only one left. You're mighty young smelling, surely no older than three hundred. Are there more of your kin around? You're hardly more than a pup, surely you and your charge are not too far from your kin." Kaydar stretched out his right wing that had been nearly crushed beneath him when the Youngling had collided with him. The muscles were already stiff, but, other than much bruising and possible a strained muscle or twp, there was no damage that would interfere with his mission.

Sterling shook his head. "No. I never knew my father and my mother was killed not to long ago," he said quietly.

Kaydar looked to the Youngling, his eyes soft and sorrowful. "It is a sore pain, that it is. I am sorry for your loss, such a thing can kill a Dragon. Such a heartbreak. What did she call the two of you?"

((Okeydokey))

Tollia nodded, finally giving the purse back to Gar. "I'm sure you would be. It's just better to travel in numbers up there. Take me or Gar for example, one on one we could defeat any Centaur in a fight. But stack the odds against us... Uneven numbers can make a fight turn sour quick." Gar stepped forward, offering his hand once more. "We wish you luck on your journey, whenever you need company or any sort of help we hang around here. Do not hesitate to look for us. After all, us outcast types must stick together."

Rosemary nodded "Thank you, keep yourselves safe" She smiled. She shifted her money bag to her other hand

Tollia nodded and shifted a plain dagger to her belt, producing it from the folds of the shawl that circled her waist. She took only a moment to fasten it into place, the thin silver handle nothing compared to the ornate and burnished copper hilt that used to sit perched upon her hip. Gar watched out of the corner of his eye, wondering why she had been so ready to give away the only object that linked her to her past. Then he realized it, she had no want of her past. She didn't care about where she had came from, she never had. All that mattered was the now. He smiled to himself, more than a little bit proud that the now included him. Even if she only thought of him as a friend. He blinked and brought his mind back to the present, watching as the young woman before them switched the her bag to her other hand. "Best be careful with your coin around here, Rose. We aren't the only outcasts in these alleys and not all of them are as.... honorable.... as we are."

"Sterling and Florence, " he said motioning to Florence.

Kaydar nodded, rising to his feet and turning his back to the Mongrel Maid and the Dragon Youngling. "Fine names, I am glad to have met you, it is good to know that there are still Younglings and their charges left in the world." He started to step between the trees, pausing mid stride and looking back at them over his shoulder. "What is your task so close to Sayark?"
