Hi, I have recently moved back to Florida from New Mexico and got busy building my chicken coop/run. Here in my little town we have a "Chick Day" which was last Saturday. I moved to Florida in January and by the beginning of March my pen was done and I couldn't wait until chick day LOL. I went down to tractor supply and bought 6 pullets which have now turned out to be a Barred rock, EE, Turken and 3 Egyptian Fayoumis. After that I purchased a dozen Coturnix quail at the flea market. Then I went back to tractor supply and bought 6 Bantams. As I started raising these chickens the addiction just kept getting stronger and then I decided to go back to the flea market and buy 15 more chickens. These included some Ameraucanas, Buff Orpingtons, Rhode Island Reds, and 4 silkies. After this venture I decided to hold off on the buying until "Chick Day". At chick day I purchased about 30 more chickens 4 turkeys, and 5 French Guineas. I have decided that I am addicted to raising poultry and cant wait till those quail start laying eggs which should be within the next week or so. Any tips or advice that yall can give to me would be wonderful. Thanks, Onionheadtg
