New poults

Hi,
I had to share how excited I am! I am new to this site... I just got 3 Bourbon Red Heritage poults. I am excited to add them to my existing breeder hens. My original turkey were, 1 Blue Slate tom, 1 Royal Palm hen & 1 Chocolate hen. As a result of this cross, I get black poults & the Royal Palm poults. I have only gotten 1 Blue Slate offspring in the past. They seem to be a popular choice in my area (Central California). This year I sold 20, 6 wk old poults for $30 each to one individual. That was a NICE boost!! I would like to add the Blue Slate back into my program. I would love to hear what you all have and how you market you birds.

I haven't sold any but wow $30 for one poult that's amazing. BB turkeys around me are $5-8 per poult and heritage are $10-15.

Yes, I did the hard part by brooding them and they were around 6 wks old, they didn't seem to blink an eye and paid $30 ea. The 3 Heritage that I bought this week were $11.95 ea. The ones that I sold were hatched at my ranch.
