Ok so my run was too small so I put on an additional 12x24 of uncovered run for daytime use. When I get up this morning for chore time I see that my huge buff orphington roo has flown over my new 5 foot fence. Uggh--- will clipping my birds wings solve this problem?

Yes.....but they will find more ornery things to do.....trust me.

Why not just get some chicken wire or other (cheaper) wire mesh and stretch over the top? Then you don't have to mangle the bird.

Covering the run helps keep out predators as well as keeping them in where you want them.

My husband put some center posts up in our run, boughy some bird netting, & draped over the run. Stapled the netting to the center posts & used tie-wraps to attach all around the fencing. Been that way a couple of months & working beautifully!
