After talking about getting chickens for years and always getting talked out of it, we finally started our own little flock! Really my kids claim them as their babies, so I'm grandma.
We had awful luck with our first pick of straight runs. 5 boys, one girl and she ended up being a meat bird. So now we're working on three more little girls, hopefully.
In all - 4 Barred Rocks, 2 Cornish X that will become dinner soon (almost 9 weeks old), 1 Peruvian gamefowl, 1 dark brahma, 1 buff brahma, and one 1 ??
