We got a new chicken yesterday and boy is she feisty. She ran right up to our alpha chicken and promptly tousled with her until i had to separate them with THE BROOM. Guess i wont have to worry about her getting pecked on, no sirree. I think she's a black jersey giant although she's not that big. Friendly to me, though and definately not afraid of people. Is it unusual for a new chicken to be so, um, assertive in a new situation?
