New Quail flock

So my wife and I have been thinking about getting Conturnix quail for a while now. As we live in a condo chickens are out of the question. Really after the eggs and meat side of raising them. I have been spending lots of time on the net, especially here, gathering up information. So what the heck. built a cage and called a local guy to pick up some chicks and BAM!! Got Quail. Must admit its kind of exciting. The dog checks on them more than we do. Right now they are almost 2 weeks old.

I will be keeping video series on our adventure with the quail.

Thanks. I wasn't sure what I wanted in a setup. I'm sure it will be ever changing.

Birds are 14 days old now and getting much bigger.

Birds are 2 weeks old now and learning I didn't know as much as I thought. Thank goodness for this board.

Thats pretty common, I got a guy here local that has raised a gazillion chickens and is now trying his hand at quail...

I tried to bring him up to speed at church last weekend and got the feeling that he thinks he already knows all about them...

So, I'll just wait until they start dying, then I expect he'll WANT to hear what I have to say.

Course I could be mistaken and he really does know all about them....nah.
