Had jap quails for a few months now and decided to finally join the forum after reading it continuously before and during the initial purchase of the birds. I have 4 of them but hope to have more and introduce a new male to start breeding eventually. My male actually got hawked through the gap in the cage so i replaced him with a really cool "silver wild" female.

Any tips or anything i should consider would be great. Thanks

Glad you joined us!

I don't know much about quail, but there are others on BYC who do. I would advise posting your questions in the Quail section of the forums: Quail

Good luck!

We're glad to have you.

Yes, I would post in the Quail section. I've never raised quail before.

Good luck with them!

Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join us. I'm a chook person and don't know much about quail (never had any), but they are sure cute little birds. Definitely post on the quail link that BantamLover21 left you with and take advantage of our quail experts there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Cheers.

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

Quail are fun birds to keep! I keep Bobwhites and have for about a decade. Cool birds to raise!

Definitely stop by our quail section for some quail talk.

Welcome to our flock!

Welcome to Backyard chickens. I'm sure the quail folks can help you out. Also try "Australia, six states and one funny little island." I'm sure other aussies have quail as well and know a lot more about raising them in your climate.
