Yup. Tap on it while they’re close, they’ll get curious. I also usually grab some random volunteers and touch their faces to it once it’s dripping so they know there’s water there.
EDIT:
I also put the bottle over a flat surface of some type so they find dripped water under it. They usually bump into the bottle's ball nipple while pecking at the water under it, and "find" the water above.
