new question regarding 4 one month old chicks

I have 4 one month old chicks that are pretty close to being fully feathered. They're in my playroom. When can I take the heat light away from them? I plan on keeping them in my house until they get too loud, which will be another two or three weeks.

How warm is it in the house? Raise the light every few days to gradually decrease the temp. Keep them out of drafts, and they should do ok. What's the weather where you live?

I live in souther california, but we have had a cold spell. Our house is about 76 degrees.
