I lost my BR rooster to a hawk. I have since penned my free range chickens up in a run. I dont like it any more than they do. My cousin gave me his original rooster he started with. He is a lot bigger
than my BR was. Any ideas on what he may be or what he may be a cross of?

Mixed breed. With those light legs he could have some Orpington or Sussex in him, but really who knows. Quite possibly a mix of mixes--my favorite "breed"!
