New roof being installed at my house-worry about stress or injury to my birds!

Would it help to complain to the landlord?
I sent the landlord photos of the mess last night before I cleaned up. His reply was "I know this is a very intrusive process and hard work for the guys. It will be over soon"
:smack(I've been waiting for an opportunity to use that emoji!!!:D)

This morning, when they started again at 7am, we noticed my landlord out in the yard cleaning up some of the tar paper. Maybe he got the hint. :yesss:

BTDT. The nails just keep appearing even after 9 years.
All the shingle bits took a few years to get up.
I wouldn't worry as much about the nails and chickens... but staples, yikes.

Curious, did your birds come back to the coop on their own at end of days?

Yeah, I have to be careful bc I like to sometimes forget and run out bare foot. Which I'm not doing now, of course.

Getting the birds back to their coop took some finagling the first day, but last night they went up much more easily. The trailer full of crap and all the tools laying around has made it scary for them, so I had to herd them a bit. The most difficult part has been making sure the 5 week olds and mama get their fermented feed. I feed them 3x a day, where the others only get the FF in the AM, and they free-feed from Grandpa's Feeders the rest of the day. The littles are just too small to be able to use the treadle feeders.

I'm in the process of replacing a roof on my addition. Lots of noise, mess, and flying objects. My birds are hardly fazed and one side of the house is in their run.

I, however, have already had one nail through my foot. Cleaned up a truckload of shingles and mess yesterday. Imagine I'll be finding nails forever.
