New roo's foot is suddenly swollen and hot

We picked up a new bantam roo. He just started crowing but I don't know the exact age. He was fine when we brought him home but now his right foot is swollen and hot to the touch. He's having trouble walking on it. We checked for breaks and found none. Also no signs of external injury. Any ideas?

Can you post a picture of the foot, and check the foot pad for any scab or cut? Do you have other roosters or a hen that might have hurt him? He sounds like he has suffered an injury.
