New rooster how long do I have to wait?

Well I am just wondering how long I should wait to be safe in getting the chicks from my new rooster instead of from my old rooster? I just am going to be hatching a bunch of Americana's and I dont want to have cross chicks. Thanks all.

2 weeks is about what i do with new roosters. Seems to work out ok for me.
