I'm Rooster - seriously,, lol. Though my name is Jon, many of my Friends call me Rooster. I got the name, believe it or not from joining an internet racing forum! I needed a screen name, and I love chickens...so I chose Rooster. that was 6 or 7 years ago and the Monicker just stuck! When I go to a race, everyone knows me as Rooster.
I am a small town Kansas boy. Was raised kinda both "In town" and "on the farm...so I guess I might be a City Farm Boy?
I have kept Chickens before - in town, got in trouble for that, lol - so for several years I just brooded chicks until old enough to get me in trouble then gave them away to friends who could keep them.
Finally I am moving to the country! My life long dream as chicken Keeper instead of Chicken Grower are to be realized! I am buying a 22 Acre place and me and my Gal are gettin' rural wif it! We can't wait to move in , so this weekend I'm getting my first 5 chickys! Start them in town then move them with us.
