I am lucky enough to have a friend that is allowing me to adopt her bantam rooster. However, I am at a lose as to the breed. Can anyone help? His short tail is "stumping" me. He has feathers on his legs.

He is a red Bantam Cochin. Red is a color. The color that he is.

I think his tail is like that because he’s not the best quality. He won’t look like the show quality Cochin Bantams because he isn’t one. But he’ll be a nice fine pet for you. Never had an aggressive Cochin Bantam Rooster. And he’ll have less feathers on his legs than expected for the same reason. It’s probably a fluke, the small tail
