i have 3 white rock hens. i was just given a blue laced red wyandotte rooster. will the two breeds get along. they wanted to pick each other when i first put him in the pen. thanks

First off,

Second, yes, eventually... but, for now, they will fight and get into kerfuffles for a few days or even weeks as they figure out their new pecking order.

1 Rooster might be too much for 3 hens......only time will tell.

Just be ready to remove the rooster asap if he over-mates the hens.

of my three hen one is a little smaller, he seems to pick her more than the larger ones. im new to this so how would i know if he over mates them?
