Chirping
Went with a Suscovich style run, with added roosting bar and nesting boxes. I made so many mistakes, and made a lot of notes so the next one will be bigger and better. I will say the instructions are OK but not beginner friendly. I'm definitely glad I had some woodworking skills under my belt and good tools in my garage. Best part was when I went to drill for the wheels and realized I built the whole thing backwards
. Oh well chickens don't care.
I wanted to get the girls in a bigger space asap, so the run is "done" but I'll be moving them back and forth to their rental coop daily until I install some panels.
I used some of this guys modifications to make it layer friendly:
I also found this video (too late) with some great mods:
I also put two locks on it, I really don't like that door.
Upcoming projects for improvements are installing panels along the bottom/back, running a electric wire around the perimeter, and improved feeding/watering systems. I'll update as it happens!
