New run with Old growth

Thanks for the input. The stakes are 3" treated so I don't know if that is a tomato stake. I feel pretty good about the wire fencing as it will have an electric wire and then horses surrounding that (the e-wire is as much to keep the horses out as predators). Security is my number one priority so I appreciate the input.

I love my boy! He is a good boy (GCh, ICh, SH) who loves his chickens, horses and koi. It's his sister who is my main predator threat!

Sorry about that, I thought they looked about the size of a hoe handle maybe slightly larger from the view of it.

What beautiful landscape. I am not experienced by any means, but you mentioned large predators. I would think a large predator might be able to push the fence down if he really wanted in? Could that be possible?

I think the perspective is off a little ;-). The wire is 12 1/2gauge which is the Stay Tuff Horse stuff (it's really stout). Here's what I did today which may give a better idea.

I think the problem is that tree trunk.

I look at the tree trunk and my mind calculates a tree trunk that looks like that must be 2 foot in diameter.

Truly.

I haven't ever lived with giant growth trees like that.

So, i see that tree trunk, my mind just "knows" it must be two feet across, and that means that run is probably only 4 feet wide by 8 feet long and those posts must be tooth picks.

I think you need to put a person in that picture to help us poor folks :D
