Hi! Dawn here. Just bought 24 acres in upstate SC. Moved in this weekend. There is a terribly-kept henhouse that is actually looks to be predator proof. There are two remaining hens. Maybe Rhode Island Reds? Old owners apparently just let the foxes get them one by one because they didn’t lock them up at night.

I’m here to learn what I need to do to keep them safe and healthy this winter. I was planning on getting into hen life next spring, but I’m here a bit early!

I’ll be reading and asking questions. It’s nice to be here.
