@Kiki
No such thing as "quitting" chickens anymore. Everytime I did, gave all my supplies & leftovers away, only having to rebuy. So having rebought, decided I quit quitting. I may take a break but keep all my stuff.
The (2) Serama Mix are 5wks old, weighing in at 9 - 9.5oz, the Roo is either the Serama or Fighting Rooster. At this point I'm thinking I may have gotten lucky, both being pullets but don't want to get my hopes up. I miss my fresh eggs. They're in the brooder in the patio, doing fine and learning their way around. RC (last February adoption. 53# Pit/Catahoula) ignores them & they him.
The single hatch Serama is 2wks, weight about an ounce, wings & tail feathered, spoiled rotten. It's in the house although I take it out to "play" the the Duo in the afternoons, hoping it would follow them around in the patio. Instead it tends to stick close & gets underfoot and asks to be carried. No clue as to the sex yet.
