So I've been working on this.

We have hawks, coons, coyote, foxes, etc around here but hopefully this is solid and secure.
I'd love to hear any ideas or suggestions I could improve upon.

Man, I really like how it's squared off with the garden box and you graveled around both. That looks great! Might have to borrow that idea.

It’s absolutely beautiful. The HC apron is good, but I’m concerned that the coons and foxes will break through the chicken wire “walls” of the runs. Your chickens will be safe at night in the coop, but expect to patch holes fairly often. I did the exact same thing and finally replaced the bottom 3 ft with hardware cloth all the way around. Much fewer patch jobs required. Soooo, if anything, consider doing that now... but you can certainly defer that to later. Great job!

I think you did an excellent job. No doubt a lot of thought went into your design.

A trap door is an excellent way to keep your chickens safe & secure at night but I also think placing hard wire around the run is important. I’m still working on this as well.

Welcome to BYC @RobChunk!

Pretty nice little setup.
How many birds do you plan to keep there?

Agrees with @TK421 about the chicken wire and predators.
I would add some windows to coop too.

What is your climate?
Adding your location to your profile is easy and important.
