New SF Bay Area backyard chicken'r

We (first-time chicken'rs -- is there a better term?) picked up our first chickens last week along with a nice new coop. Three 40wk hens already laying. An Australorp, a speckled Sussex, and a cuckoo bird.

I'm a professional travel photog. My wife, aka, the family CEO, works in telecommunications. 2 yound adult kids living at home while going to school. Also: 2 cats and one snake makeup the rest of the household.
