New shavings chicks eating bits

I got new shavings today from TSC. Flock Party Fresh Flakes. https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/manna-pro-fresh-flakes-poultry-bedding. There are little black bits(not mold) and smaller bits of wood and the chicks are pecking and scratching furiously at it and I am sure eating it. Will they be ok? They did not do this with the bedding My Pet Chicken sent. Thank you!

All you can do is keep the feeders full and bedding dry. That should be sufficient.
