So on Sunday I got two new 6 monty old silkie hens and on Sunday and Monday night I put them in early because I had to go out. But on Tuesday and tonight poppy has not been going in, the only reason this worry’s me is that her sister Winnie goes in and even sleeps with charlie and blue. But she goes and sleeps in the grass. Anther thing is that when she looks around she streches out her neck to look around and the first few days she would freeze and just stand there if blue or charles comes near. maybe there’s a way I could teach her to go in.

I would walk her up the ramp every night until she starts going in. I know that some chickens are less smart than others. I have a hen raising chicks. One of them figured out how to go up the ramp, the other five were clueless. I would just consistently walk her up the ramp every night. I don't mean pick her up and put her in, I mean put her at the bottom and push her so that she starts walking. That's the way I've always done it, and it has always worked without fail. It just might take her longer.

About her stretching out her neck to look, some chickens do that more than others. (Poppy being a Silkie, she could have more feathers over her eyes than the others. If so, you could possible gently trim them away from her eyes so she can see.) She probably was nervous of new birds even if they weren't mean to her. If her sister wasn't, that's probably just a personality difference. Hope this helps!
