New silkie hen got a bath

Meet Maddie...I saw an ad on craigslist. She was getting picked on by all the chickens. When I got there she was so sad looking, missing feathers and covered with poo in an overcrowded pen. I made the lady an offer even though she wasn't what I was really looking for in another Silkie. I got her home, gave her a bath, blow dried her, watched some TV with her on the couch, and now she's hanging out in the dog kennel until I can take her out tomorrow to meet my Silkie trio. Oh goodness... never knew you could blow dry a chicken until I became the crazy chicken lady. But I love them!

Aww she looks soo sweet good on you for taking her home. I'm sure she will be very happy being loved & cared for.. I hate seeing those over crowded pens makes me want to buy them all I can't believe how common it is to see such craziness.. Sad very sad

She is such a sweet chicken. She seems so happy being out with the other chickens today! My 6 year old says she is his. I'm sorry Branumdragon. They are such neat animals. I'm very attached already! Here she is meeting her new friends this morning
