I'm afraid to even ask, because I fear the answer is roo and we will have to re-home my favorite chicken! I've just read too many things to tell ... plus, being new to this, is it harder when they are a "mixed" breed?

NOOOOOOOOO! Boooooo :'( But thank you for tearing off the Band-Aid, JedJackson! He's the prettiest.
He is really pretty. And at first glance I thought you had a pullet. Then I noticed the little silvery pointed feathers peaking through on the lower back/saddle area and knew you had a boy. Those feathers will grow into the long, flowing saddle feathers. I'm bummed you can't keep him :( Wish it was better news.

Thank you so much! That's what really made me think he could be a boy - the long pointy feathers (and what seemed like a large comb) But I was holding out hope it may be some kind of fancy rooster looking hen. So sad to lose him!
