Hey y’all! I’m originally from Texas and moved to south Orange County California! 3 years ago! (Backwards from the current moving trends I know!) lol
1) This is my first ever flock! I got my girlies a few weeks ago.
(2) I have currently have 4 hens.
(3) I have a buff Orpington (Honey), Crested Cream Legbar (Billie), Salmon Faverolle (Sunny), and an Ancona (Panda)
(4) I love everything about having chickens!
Once they’re laying it will be even more rewarding!
(5) I have three children so understand when I say I have no hobbies. I actually picked this up because I recently had postpartum depression after having my third child, and in therapy realized I didn’t have a single hobby for myself!
(6) I am currently a stay home mom, who is finding joy in this new chicken hobby! I also really am fascinated with chicken genetics and am hoping to be one of the posters who can tell what offspring will look like from knowing the mother and father because that is just super cool.
(7) I learned about this website from when I was searching things before getting my chickens. After that I began coming on this site just because I was so interested in all of the thread conversations! I eventually joined because I found myself wanting to put in my two cents but I didn’t have an account to do so, so here I am!
