For a guy with not much building experience you have done a great job!
You are obviously more brave than I with modifications. I know your dimensions are close and am very interested whether they will impact the air cushion effect that is what makes a Woods work. Given Wood's other designs I guess that there is flexibility but others on BYC who have built the KD style Woods were careful to not muck with the "golden ratio" rule of thumb. Also of concern is the openings created by the add on nest box. In my mind it will be difficult to seal the outer seams and this in turn will create drafts across the lower part of the back section and in turn impact the birds who will roost above the area through which those drafts will flow.
I would be very interested in your comments from experience about my concerns and how you manage to overcome them.
