new tattoo, suggestions?

Someone I know that works at a tattoo parlor contacted me. The owner wants to do a chicken portrait kind of thing. He sent me a pic of a neck and head. And it looked awesome. It looked like a maran.. the comb was huge, the featheres was black.

So my question is.. give me a few suggestions on which breed I should go with? I am thibking a slw or something.

Just don't get a Silkie. I look at a silkie and think "girly". *sigh, I do want a silkie though...*

I don't think it's stupid at all! One of my girls has the prettiest brown feathers with gold streaks through them, I am thinking of getting a feather tattoo!

If I was you, I would go with a rooster, because I think they are beautiful and can't have any in town where I live. You could have alot of fun with color too, depending on the breed you pick! I wouldn't try anything with silver in it, I don't think the silver ink would show up well or age nicely. Pale inks tend not to.

Well that's just stupid! You need a whole chicken tattoo! I mean, some of the chickens best features are in the body and tail. I am thinking a faverolle. Or a big NH roo.

My father is a tattoo artist for the Hornet's Nest, and I have seen many people get tattooed of chickens or something, but if you want my suggestion, get little chicken feet, like walking along your shoulder or something. :3

But, if you want a breed from me, I'd go with a Buff Orpington. :3

I have already got one. A wyandotte on my shoulder. This one he wants to do is pretty neat. But the design has a large single comb. I dont like it huge. Might get a wyandotte head and stuff.

Hm, then what would be cool is that if you really like Wyandotte's, get a Wyandotte over your heart? I've seen people get tattooed with things and people they love over their heart.

all in all it's not what we like it's what you like. it's gotta be something you can live with the rest of your life so doing a breed you dont like i would say is a big NO. pick out your fav. breed and use it. if it is a wyandotte then go with them.

I know, And Im not doing a breed I dont want. Just could use some suggestions for color combination, artsy ideas and such.
