New Test hatch Rumpless Tufted ?

Thanks Klf, I take my next batch out of the turner tomorrow,Then I get to suffer another 3 day's, I'll let you know how it turns out. I'd be curious to see how you make out as well.

Yup even a tiny single tuft on a bird can make big double tufts on its offspring.. been there and done it plenty of times..

I am hatching a bunch of her eggs (Due the 28th) and I am wondering just what all I will get

Depending on how many eggs you hatch maybe you will be lucky and at least see 25% of the chicks with tufts, if your even luckier maybe more..

Guitartists is she tailed or rumples, what do you all have in with her??

this young cockerel came from a small single tufted roo over a clean faced/rumples hen, this is not Sparks as he came from a diffrent breeding pen

She is a white tailed tufted.. and my roo is a black/gold ...maybe black/birchen??? You guys tell me! LOL (I think he has Duckwing in there somewhere... but lacks a nice bold coloration) rumpless & clean-faced.

Charlie, I've been very lucky so far and end up with quite a few tufted offspring anyway. I do have an odd situation , when I breed my brown red hens their chicks almost always hatch clean faced or with a single small tuft. I was down to one Brown red hen when I decided to hold 2-3 cleanfaced, When low and behold after the first molt they all have tufts and some are quite large.I dont know what to do as most of my birds are either born with tufts or not I have never heard of birds Developing tufts after molt, What do you think ?

My girl in that pic has one easily noticeable tuft on one side.... and after her moult, I noticed that she has a very small tuft on the other, when she hatched it looked like she was going to be a single tuft... but it's there... so maybe sometimes they are just soooo small that it takes time for them to grow large enough to become visible?????

Guitartists you got it on the small tufts, real hard to see some of them sometimes.
Your male looks to be a gold duck wing incomplete maybe or silver incomplete. he looks very similar to our Dragon. however if mated up with the right hens they produce good duck wing and a few other colors depending on the hens..Is your white hens chest bleeding any red through it, be it in lacing or solid coloring??
