Hello!
My wife Laura and I have a small backyard flock and found this great site!
Currently we have:
15 Barred Rock (12 hens, 3 roos)
1 Silver Laced Wyandotte (we felt sorry for him at the feed store so we bought him)
6 Sexlink hens
4 White turkey hens (act like dogs really, follow us everywhere and call when we leave)
5 Assorted Bantams (1 roo and 4 hens). We ended up with these because they were in a brooder with barred rock chicks and were being trampled, not getting feed or water....so, like the Silver Laced...we felt sorry for them and gave them a good home!
2 African Geese named Brad and Angelina...
As soon as I can figure out how, I will add all that to our signature line....

and Welcome To BYC! Sounds like you have a nice flock that should lay you a lot of eggs! Nice of you to rescue the poor chicks that weren't getting cared for at the feed store.
