Thank you for your support. I didn't realize the bottom latch was unhooked and 3 girls got out and that's when the fox got them. I have since built a new coop a have added hardware cloth around the bottom with an extra 12" below.Hiya, and welcome to BYC!!Sorry about the loss of your chicks. If you need help to fox-proof your coop, we've got tons of articles and threads about that or just ask!

Thank youCrossing Silver Laced Orpington with Black Australorp should give black chicks, possibly with a few bits of silver leakage.
Breeding some daughters back to their Silver Laced father will give about 50% black chicks and 50% other color chicks (more-or-less Silver Laced, but probably the "lacing" will not look very tidy.)
