New to back yard chickens

ONE OF MY SILK egg has hatch out the mother left it .so i take the baby in and is was near death and i got a small box and hot water bottle and a towel
i put the towel on the hot water bottle .and put the baby on top of it to keep the chick warm now I am so glad I did that .the chick is doing well and is chip all the time now and the chick is nice and warm ....so what do you all think ?
