new to back yard chicks

hi just started my back yard chicken farm .. lol
well started off with 10 chicks i was told they were 4 week old

now they are about 24 week old and i am now waiting to get my eggs but they just dont be playing ball ... lol

at wot age do they start laying and does any one know what breed they are ? thx

They look Like Red Sexlinks to me. Usually a chicken will lay from 17-25 weeks but it really depends on the time of year, and the breed. An egg will come when the chicken is ready to lay it.

I agree with Colored Egg Farmer, I think they may be red sex links. This time of year it may take longer for them to start up production. They will start in their own sweet time according to many factors

Just have faith and patience and you will be rewarded soon I'm sure.
